Early Life and famous songs of Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber was passionate about music at a very early age and he taught himself to play many musical instruments. He began playing drums when he was just two years old. He also learned piano and guitar as a child. Bieber started singing when he was 12 and came second in a local singing competition. While other participants in the competition were professionally trained and had vocal coaches, Bieber was the only one that was a casual singer.
It is pretty interesting how Justin Bieber became popular after this singing competition. In order to share his victory in the contest to friends and family who missed his performance, Bieber and his mom opened a YouTube account and started posting his video performances. Well, the most unexpected thing happened at this juncture. Many people watched his videos on this great file-sharing website and the videos went viral in no time. People started subscribing to his videos and this is how his manager Scooter Braun found Justin Bieber.
Braun flew him to Atlanta, Georgia from his hometown Ontario, Canada to meet Usher. There, he had to decide between signing with Usher and Justin Timberlake. Finally, he chose to sign with Usher. L.A. Reid backed him up. It was in October 2008 that Justin Bieber was officially signed to Island Records when he started working on ‘My World”, his debut album. The album was released all over the United States on 17 November. The album was a huge hit with four striking singles “One Less Lonely Girl”, “One Time”, “Love Me” and “Favorite Girl”, all cracking the Top 15 of Canadian Singles chart as well as reaching Top 40 of Billboard Hot 100. This accomplishment made Bieber the only artist in the history of Billboard who has four singles from a debut album reaching Top 40 of the Hot 100 even before the release of the album. Bieber success story continued in his subsequent albums “My World 2.0,” “My Worlds Acoustic,” “Never Say Never – The Remixes,” “Under the Mistletoe,” “Believe,” “Believer Acoustic,” “Journals,” and “Singles.”
He appeared in some super hit U.S. TV shows including “Good Morning America”, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “The George Lopez Tonight Show” and “Chelsea Lately Show”.
